Monster The Auto-Biography of an L.A Gang Member

I read this book last year during reading and I really enjoyed it because of the significant changes he makes.What I really like about this book is how true he is about all of his problems. "Where I came from, in order to be down you had to be in"-Kody Scott a.k.a Sanyika Shakur. When he is in the sixth grade he gets suspended for writing a crip gang sign on the wall in school. He then left school and joined the crips for good. There is a whole lot of violence and drug use involved. It is a good story on how he tries to change his life around after ruining many. He changes so much in prison, even his name. Sanyika Shakur was the notoriouis Kody Scott. He turns around from a gang banger to a islamic believer. He admits to alot of other crime such as robbery and car theft in his book so he has to go back to prison agian. It is a great book for guys and alot of girls might not like it because of the violence and drug use. it might need a red sticker also because of content matter. you should read this book because of how he turns his life around so much.
