Reflection Of Little Brother

The book ended the way that I had predicted. Marcus achieves in taking down the DHS and making San Francisco back to its original way, where there aren't police and federal agents on every single street corner. He was successful in making sure his friends stayed safe, and that they wouldn't get caught. I made many connections throughout this book to the Novel To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. Marcus and Atticus both have an insane amount of courage. They both stand up strongly for what they believe in.

I think that one Little Brothers bigger messages is to have the courage to do something that you know you'll fail at, but you do it anyway. As Atticus said in TKAM, "[Courage is] when you know you're licked before you begin but you begin anyway and you see it through no matter what". Marcus took down the entire Department of Homeland Security. He is just a 17 year old high school student.I think that in the beginning he thought that he wouldn't succeed, but as time went on, he became more self confident.

I really really really enjoyed this book. It had the perfect mix between action, mystery, teenagers, and valor. I would definitely recommend this book to anybody who enjoys reading about somebody on a mission. Because in fact, this kid, went on a heck of a mission.
