The Long Way Home by Andrew Klaven

During the summer, I read a wonderful book called the Long Way Home by Andrew Klaven. It is the second book in the series of books, called the Homelanders. The main characters name is Charlie West. The book starts off very interestinng, Charlie is in a public library about forty-five minutes away from his home town. Charlie went into the library to wash his face, and when he looked in the mirror there was a man with a knife right behind him. This man was out to kill Charlie. This is all connected to what happened during the first book.

In the first book Charlie woke up very confused while being strapped to a chair. He did not know what was going on. When he looked around he was in a a cell room and he had a bunch of cuts all over his body and his shirts and pants were filled with blood. The only thing he could hear were a bunch of older men talking in Russian. A few minutes later he heard the men talking in english and they said "kill the boy, he does not know anything", after that a two men came in with a needle and started laughing at him. Well the wrap up the whole two books, Charlie escapes the "kidnappers" before they are able to kill him. While escaping he hides in the woods for about two or three days. On the third day he found a women and her daughter hiking and they took him home because the women's wife was the captain of the whole police department in their town. When the husband came home he called all the police units and backup to arrest Charlie. Supposely before Charlie had been kidnapped he killed his best friend in a park. Doesn't this book sound really interesting. I just can not wait until the third book comes out!
